Mariann Løkse is head of the largest library department at UIT, comprising 11 libraries in 5 towns in Northern Norway. The Library Services Department works primarily with supporting students and faculty in their studies and research. The Library has a close focus on developments within information literacy and open science.

Mariann Løkse has a master’s degree in English Literature, and has previously worked as a subject librarian for art and literature at UiT.
